For SEO start putting your content on to other sites with links leading back to your site. That should help you greatly.
For SEO purposes, you will want to definately submit the articles so that other sites can pick them up and link back to your site I think.
Where do you want people going to see the articles – your site or a submission site?
Actually, its better to do both. You want good content on your site, with quality articles on the article directories pointing back to it. What I usually tell people to do is, write some high powered, very informative content for your sites, then write articles with information that’ll lead into the site content with a link back.
