Do not “stay away from nofollow tags” – google can see them, good quality traffic can pass along them and other SEs aren’t interested in them. All a nofollow means is “don’t pass page rank”. That’s it. If the link is from a relevant site to your niche, go for it (just go for dofollow limks first!)
